Afffiliate Marketing: Choosing The Right Product To Promote

Okay here it goes! This just popped out in the middle of nowhere. Na, this has been the rule of thumb when it comes to affiliate marketing that is to promote a product where there is an existence market who are "desperate" to buy a product.

Yes, your target market should be those people who are desperate enough to have their problem solved. It might take time for you to choose the right product. But here are some few stuff I have gathered that might help us affiliate wanabees.

Here are few niches that you might want to promote a product for:

1. Weight loss

There has a never ending demand for new and improved weight loss products that will make a person lose few pounds in just a matter of days or so. However, the down side of this niche a lot of people are already tons and tons of products. It would be much difficult for a newbie to penetrate the market. Simply say, the market is already saturated.

2. Computer related products

Things like anti-virus, anti-malware, spyware software and others is a great hit especially every now and then, computers have been bombarded with different sorts of viruses everyday.

3. How to Earn Money Online

This might be very obvious since everyone has the desire to get rich and the problem lies on when to get rich. This is the reason why ebooks have been sprouting like mushrooms convincing people to get a copy because they will get rich if they follow a system. Take note, follow a system. There is no guarantee that the buyer will get rich right away. It only depends upon the effort being exerted in order to generate income.

There are tons of products to be promote. But as for me, I will stick to products that are under these three. At least there is a ready market who will embrace the product and hopefully will buy 'em.

Affiliate Marketing: My First Step

I was just thinking what would be my strategic plan in promoting the first product that I have enlisted.

So here it goes, first is to gather around as many emails as I could and have it 'em in one list. I am going to choose those people who desperate need the product and would be beneficial to them. I know this is like same old formula but I am going to give it a shot.

Second, I will be using all the people on my contact list again and send them a revised email and hopefully I will be more successful to that.

Third is using web 2.0 and other social networking media to my benefit.

I know these three ain't enough but I am going to give them a go! Hopefully, I can see a big difference. By the way, I am using the free stuff and I am going to test the waters if it's going to work then it would be totally good for me at least I don't need to pay up for everything...

Affiliate Marketing: Going Back To Affiliate Marketing

As of today, I am determined to put back my clickbank account in action and start driving off visitors and traffic to my blog in the hope of getting in greater sales conversion. It was so frustrating that I had 74 hops out of the 200 emails I sent off within my contact list and most of them were from the U.S.

I post in one of the famous forums and have asked what’s the problem why I have gotten any sales yet, one said that maybe I have targeted the wrong people. Of which I must say is true, I just send an email to 200 people without knowing whether they need the product or not! I was so blinded and too much excited to get a sale that I ended up having no sale at all due to my inadequacy to determine my target market.

Now, I have realized that my target market and hopefully I can come up with a new strategy that can convert a sale or two within 7 days. I can’t wait to have that first ever sale as being an affiliate and hopefully garner more sales in the future.

In my quest of earning more, I had 3 products to promote. However, as I was pondering it seems I need to focus on one product first and look at how it goes. If my new developed strategy works, then I am going to apply it to the rest of the products.

Having to plan out what methods to use or techniques to apply come up with a successful marketing plan is so difficult especially when I am working as a freelancer. Oh boy! I have lost a lot of income for the past weeks since I had slow down in my work. I know I can’t earn big in affiliate marketing during my first month, so I better concentrate on my freelance gigs and work on the affiliate marketing 1 hour a day or so. In this, I will have a little time to test out the waters.
